Film & Video
Starting out making music videos for himself, Rawz now views video and film making as a central element of his practice, conceptualising, directing, and editing, various projects in a range of contexts - from abstract film collages for art installations to feature length documentaries.

DIGGING CRATES: The Messiah Violin
This short film is based around a live recording made in the Ashmolean Museum's stringed instrument gallery, in the presence of the priceless Stradivari violin known as The Messiah - one of the iconic violin maker's most celebrated masterpieces. Rawz directed and edited the film in addition to writing and performing the spoken word element, and initiating the project.
RAWZ first release of 2018 saw him team up with Inner Peace Records label mate and resident Producer/DJ; Palmer Eldritch.
Accompanying visuals were shot on Oxford's famous Cowley Road by W T Brett and edited by RAWZ.
Seeds In The Dirt
Impartiali-Tie Montage

This visual montage was created for projection onto 3 neck ties hung on a wall.
It is a response from Rawz to a story he heard about an Oxford secondary school teacher being suspended from his job for wearing a Palestine flag themed tie to work shortly after the state was invaded in October 2023. The reason given for the suspension was apparently a breach of impartiality.
Interestingly, the school had given out Ukraine flag pins to students earlier that year, and a member of the school’s senior leadership team was allegedly wearing a Union Jack sweater the same day the teacher was suspended.
This contradiction raises questions for Rawz around what is meant by the term impartiality in this context, who decides which flags are impartial and which aren’t, and the subtle ways in which we all receive our political and ideological education.
A montage of combat and protest footage created by the artist is projected onto a range of flag based ties, displaying the underlying similarities in all conflict, and interrogating the complex realities of war, and the impartiality of flags. Rawz invites the viewer to interact with the light on its journey between the wall and projector, and examine how their shadow becomes part of the imagery.
Ideas Of Futures
This video collage created by Rawz in late 2022 was first shown publicly as part of the EPOCH exhibition projected onto black curtain. It brings together ideas of the future from various time periods.

Together As One
This visual for Tiece & Rawz track "Together As One" was shot as part of a youth summer holiday project. Rawz conceptualised and edited the video.
FREEDOM STYLES RADIO
This project was made entirely by Rawz in the 30 days of April 2015. He shot it on a Huawei mobile phone using an improvised selfie stick and taught himself to edit video using free software.
